Congratulations to Darrin Govens for graduating with a psychology degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Darrin, a Chester High School basketball State Champion was named the Pennsylvania Player of the Year in both 2005 and 2006. He earned a full scholarship to St. Joe’s and saw a lot of playing time in his four years there. He says that he values the experience but had wished for a lot more success on the court.
He’s made himself eligible for the upcoming NBA draft and is looking forward to playing professionally next year either in the states or in Europe.
Darrin is a regular at the FiDonce Player Development workouts where he serves as inspiration to the younger players who desire to get a similar college opportunity.
