Chlamydia in Chester

Below is a note from an Anonymous reader.

Hi Stefan,

Are you aware of the Delaware County health study that was perfomed by John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Delaware County had a public hearing today (5/12/2010) pertaining to the public health needs in Delaware County.

One of the public health issues in the study was that "Delaware County has the third highest rate of Chlamydia behind Philadelphia and Dauphin counties. The vast majority of cases in Delaware county occured in Black females age 15-24 with 7690.1 per 100,000 case rate. The majority of the increase of Chlamydia in Delaware County was in the city of Chester."

The study did not mention that Chester has a health department. However, the city of Chester does not have a public health leader (Health Commissioner) for their health department.

If you are interested in the study, you can pick up a copy at Delaware County Government Center Building in Media.
