For the past 25 years, the Chester Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. has held its annual scholarship awards luncheon.
Several Chester High School seniors were presented with scholarships including Portia N. West, (attending West Chester University) and Ashley Pless (attending Johnson C. Smith University) each received $1,000. Rashanha Tiller (attending Delaware State University) received $500.
Book awards of $100 were presented to Chester High students Theodore Chambers, Raedara Rawls and Teena Taylor.
