If you're a black talk radio junkie like me, the death of Reggie Bryant is a monumental blow to the airways.
I got hooked on Reggie 20 years ago when he was on WRTI doing his show Catharsis (forcing me to look up the word).
More recently he has been on WHAT and WURD.
I came so close to my goal of being featured on Reggie's show when I took my book to the WURD studio for his review. As I sat in the conference room with staff members, Reggie walked by on his way to prep for his afternoon show which got me all excited.
Reggie had just done a series on the environment and after the staff read my book they were convinced that Reggie's show was a perfect fit.
Unfortunately, that afternoon at their studio was Reggie's last day at work as he lived his last couple months in hospice.
There is no one on radio anywhere with Reggie's intelligence and style.
I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing in memory of him.
Are they other Reggie fans out there?
