Blackjack reduces college tuition by 50% for Chester students


Dave Sciocchetti, head of the Chester Economic Development Authority, says table gaming revenue Chester would receive if approved would would allow Chester Upland School District to become a sponsoring school district of Delaware County Community College for the first time, giving city residents a 50 percent reduction in tuition.

“Without the passing of Harrah’s petition, our goal of lowering the cost of secondary education for city residents will not be possible,” Sciocchetti said.
